FAQ’s

What goes well with sourdough toast?

The hearty texture and slight tang means sourdough goes well with a range of toppings, and also pairs as a great base for any meal. We love sourdough toast topped with hummus, eggs, avocado, jam, peanut butter, or really anything you’d put on regular toast. However, you can also get creative with fresh fruit and vegetables.

What can I put on my sourdough toast instead of butter?

If you’d like an alternative to butter on sourdough toast, try brushing on some extra virgin olive oil. It adds a delicious fruity flavour that goes wonderfully with the slight sourness of the bread. You can also use avocado instead of butter too!

How to add toppings to sourdough bread?

To add toppings to sourdough, start with something creamy like smashed avocado as a base and go from there, adding sliced eggs, sprouts, or tomato. You can also drizzle on a balsamic reduction, or sprinkle on nuts or seeds for added crunch.
