Born and raised in the Mittagong/Bowral region of NSW, Jo now runs a bakery in each town and her connection to her local community flows deep across multiple generations. From her work with the local hospital through to her tireless fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Network Australia, Jo is helping to keep her community alive and thriving.
After starting his career at Bakers Delight as an apprentice baker, Matt quickly became a Franchisee following his completion of the Bakers Delight Kick Start program.
This Father’s Day, Bakers Delight will be working with Dads Group Inc. to celebrate the first national Man With A Pram event. Last year’s event held in Ringwood was a massive success and we can’t wait to support Dads Group Inc. again this year as they spread their message to fathers across Australia.
Kim and Deborah are passionate about supporting local community members in need, including our furry friends. Their generosity and passion to give back to their community has assisted many local organisations as well as helped countless injured animals get back into the wild through their work with Express Wildlife Rescue. No matter how big or how small, Kim and Deborah are always willing to do what it takes to help the community of Ellenbrook flourish.
Mick has been with Bakers Delight for over 20 years and now owns three bakeries in the ACT. Mick supports many charities and community groups throughout the region, including the Bread for Breakfast program – a local school-based program dedicated to ensuring students who are experiencing a difficult home life are well fed and in a position to learn when they get to class.
Rod and Allison support many local community groups, working particularly close with Hummingbird House, the only children’s hospice in Queensland. Hummingbird House provides family support for children with life limiting conditions, a cause very close to Rod and Allison’s hearts.
Tim was born and ‘bread’ in Berowra and now runs his own Bakers Delight in this small NSW community. He has been a long-time supporter of community groups throughout the district and recently motivated his fellow business owners and customers to raise enough funds to build a new fire station for the local RFS.
Sam started working at Bakers Delight Somerville when she was 16 years old under the watchful eye of then franchisee Phil. With Phil’s guidance, Sam has now purchased the bakery and is running a successful business in her own right. Now a franchisee, Sam has made it a priority to give back to her local community, the community she grew up in and who support her business every day.
We’re proud of our association with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and the funds we have raised to help support Australians affected by breast cancer. Since the partnership began in 2000, Bakers Delight and our Franchisees have supported BCNA with over $18 million worth of funds and pro-bono services.
We’re passionate about our local communities. That’s why our bakeries donate any product left at the end of the day to local charities and community groups, making sure fresh bread goes to the folks that really need it.
