WE’RE COMMITTED TO THE COMMUNITY

We’re committed to supporting locals just like you… because what’s life all about if not our loaf for one another?

Community is like the icing on every finger bun and the love in every loaf. It’s the best part of who we are. That’s why we always take a little extra time each day to support and engage with those around us. Check out these videos of what Bakers Delight has been doughin’ for communities across the country.

Keeping it in the family

When Brian Jobling bought the bakery at Rockingham in WA, his goal was to establish a successful business that he could then hand over to his daughter, Jennifer and her husband Michael.

Today, Jen and Michael are running a successful bakery business which they hope to pass on to their own kids one day, ensuring Bakers Delight will remain a part of the Rockingham community for generations to come.

When times are tough, communities are fortunate to have people like Lorelle Wells, franchisee at Bakers Delight Kilsyth in Victoria, who do whatever they can to help people in need.

When two-year-old Will Morrison fell into a campfire and severely burnt his hands, the emergency treatment he received at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s hospital was second to none.

His parents, Tim and Belinda (franchisees at BD Renmark) were so grateful for the care and support they received when they needed it most, they decided to give something back by raising over $30,000 in funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Rising interest rates and the high cost of living are biting hard and for thousands of families around the country, the simple act of putting food on the table can be a daily struggle.

For the past five years, the team at Bakers Delight Casey Central in Victoria have been donating product to food rescue charity, Bk 2 Basics so that people in need can have access to the food they need without charge and without judgement.

Showing Our Support for BCNA

The annual Pink Bun campaign is just one of many ways our franchisees give back to their local community.

Our team at Warners Bay, NSW have a special relationship with Breast Cancer Network Australia and use this colourful campaign to connect with their locals and raise as much money as they can to help support those affected by breast cancer.

Supporting Our Farmers

When parts of NSW were affected by devastating floods, Jake Knott, our Franchisee at Bakers Delight Thornton and Rutherford, immediately stepped in to help those in need.

By collecting and delivering his unsold bread each day, Jake was able to help local farmers keep their cattle alive, after their feed supply was cut off by the floods.

Fundraising For Our Community

Every year, Easter is our favourite time of year where franchisees around the country are using Hot Cross Buns to help local organisations raise funds.

Each Hot Cross Bun drive helps local schools, sporting clubs and community support groups continue their work in keeping communities together. Here’s how two Victorian franchisees help our locals at Easter.

Showing Our Support For The RFS

Every day right around the country, our franchisees do amazing things to support their local community.

In Sydney, over 20 of our bakery teams banded together over one weekend in December to raise funds for the Rural Fire Service (RFS). Thanks to their efforts, the RFS can maintain and upgrade the equipment they need to keep the community safe from bushfires.

Breast Cancer Network Australia

We’re proud of our partnership with Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and the funds we have raised to help support Aussies affected by breast cancer. In our 20 years together, we’ve raised more than $20 million and have become so close, we finish each other’s sandwiches. You could say we’re breast friends!

Bread Donations

We’re passionate about our local communities and doughing what we can to give back. Our bakeries donate delicious leftovers at the end of the day to local charities and community groups, making sure fresh bread goes to the folks who really need it. That’s what breaking bread is all about!

Sponsorships

We love our locals and offer sponsorship to community groups, charities, teams and individuals for all kinds of events. Look out for our mascot Breadhead who loves supporting great causes, just don’t let all the fame go to his bread! Apply for sponsorship here.
