What is Cajun chicken made of?

Every cajun chicken recipe will use some form of cajun spice—a spice mix that varies, but most often has paprika, thyme, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and red capsicum. Some Cajun chicken recipes will also use oregano, black pepper and chilli powder.

Where did Cajun Chicken originate?

Cajun Cuisine, like Cajun Chicken, originated in Louisiana, America by a group of people from the Acadian region of Canada. These French settlers were deported by the British in the 18th century, with many settling in Louisiana. Bringing their culinary traditions with them, the group adapted their cooking style to the local ingredients, creating what we know today as Cajun cuisine.
