FAQs

What is considered a smore?

Smores generally consist of marshmallows that are roasted over a fire (normally a campfire) until they’re gooey. Then, they’re wedged in between two biscuits and a piece of chocolate. You may find that this combination can vary depending on the recipe though!

Where do smores originate from?

While their origin is unknown, smores are considered to be a classic American treat. The first published recipe for smores did appear in a Girl Scout guidebook back in 1927. However, the treat may have been a favourite for campers long before then.

What biscuits for smores?

Traditional smores are made from graham crackers. These crackers are a sweet and crunchy biscuit, with a slightly sweet flavour. However, there are plenty of substitutes like digestive biscuits, wafers or even shortbread biscuits.
