Meet Justin Whyte, who after managing Bakers Delight Mentone for 10 years, purchased his own bakery through the Manage To Own program in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
After 10 years of working as a bakery manager, Justin wanted to get out of his comfort zone and decided to purchase his own bakery. Already working with Bakers Delight, Justin was able to get valuable advice from his Franchisee and Area Manager, ultimately transitioning from Manager to Franchisee after completing the Manage To Own program.

David Winter was looking for a part-time job when he decided to start a baking apprenticeship. Little did he know that his decision would lead him to become a business owner.
When David and his wife Sarah wanted to own their own bakery they knew that it would be a lot of hard work. However, running the business together has helped strengthen their relationship and is helping them achieve a work/life balance that allows them to spend valuable time with their two-year-old daughter Poppy.

Craving great surf and the laid-back lifestyle the Bellarine Peninsula has to offer, Anthony and Belinda made the decision to purchase their first bakery in Ocean Grove. Living just a five minute walk to the bakery and a five minute walk to the beach, the pair have found the perfect work/life balance they had been chasing.
