FAQ’s

How long to grill prawns on BBQ?

On a BBQ, you should grill your prawns for 2 minutes on each side, or until they look like they’re cooked through. Make sure you set your grill to be on a high heat, to ensure that your prawns cook properly.

How do you know when prawns are cooked?

Prawns will turn pink or orange when they’re cooked. If they have a tinge of grey or still look a little translucent, then they might need a little longer on the grill. That colour change is one of the easiest ways to tell that your prawns are done, but you can also tell if your prawns are cooked if they begin to curl, and whether the texture is firm.

Can I use frozen prawns for BBQ?

Yes, you can use frozen prawns for a BBQ. However, you’ll want to make sure to thaw them before you begin cooking. While not unsafe, frozen prawns shouldn’t be used straight from the freezer as it can be easy to overcook them.
