Easter Egg S'mores Toastie Recipe
Introduction
Got a stash of Easter eggs staring at you from the pantry? This is their moment to shine. Crushed chocolate melts into pools of sweetness while mini marshmallows puff and stretch between buttery slices of golden toast. Crisp on the outside, molten in the middle, it turns “what do we do with all this chocolate?” into the easiest (and messiest) win. Break it open, watch the marshmallow pull and suddenly leftovers feel like a very good idea.
Ingredients
Method
1
Lay out the slices of white bread. Butter one side of each slice generously
2
Flip one slice over (butter side down). Sprinkle the crushed Easter egg evenly over the bread
3
Top with mini marshmallows, spreading them evenly to cover the chocolate
4
Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side facing out
5
Heat a frying pan or sandwich press over medium-low heat
6
Toast the sandwich until golden brown on both sides and the marshmallows are melted and gooey (about 2–3 minutes per side in a pan)
7
Remove from heat, let sit for 30–60 seconds, then slice and pull apart for maximum marshmallow goodness
