Strawberry Cheesecake Toastie Recipe

Introduction

Strawberry cheesecake toasties stuffed with cream cheese and fresh berries, lightly sweetened with icing sugar. Each sandwich is dipped in a vanilla‑cinnamon custard, then air‑fried until golden and crisp. Finished with a dusting of sugar and extra berries, they’re a cosy, dessert‑for‑breakfast treat.

Lay out two slices of sourdough and spread a generous layer of cream cheese on each

Top with sliced strawberries, then lightly dust with icing sugar

Spread cream cheese over the remaining two slices and sandwich them on top to close

Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl

Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, about 10 seconds per side, allowing it to soak in without falling apart

Sprinkle lightly with caster sugar for a caramelised finish

Air fry at 180°C for 10 minutes, until golden and cooked through
