Introduction

Warm, gooey and full of flavour, this Turkish garlic bread is the ultimate side dish that’s perfect for entertaining. Made with our Sea Salt Turkish Baguette, this decadent creation is filled with melted cheese, garlic butter and herbs, then baked until golden and bubbling. Whether you’re serving it with soup, pasta or as part of a grazing spread, it’s always a hit. Simple to prepare and impossible to stop at one piece.

Ingredients

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius, then make the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Prepare the loaf: Using a serrated knife, cut deep diagonal slices into the bread about 2–3 cm apart, making sure not to cut all the way through. Repeat on the opposite diagonal to create a crisscross pattern.

Fill the cuts: Spread garlic butter generously into all the slits. Push grated cheese down into the cuts, packing it in so every piece is cheesy.

Wrap and bake: Place the loaf on the prepared tray, wrap it completely in foil, and bake for 15 minutes

Uncover and finish: Open the foil to expose the top of the bread. Bake uncovered for a further 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden. Serve hot and pull apart at the table.
