Toast Breakfast Board Recipe

A breakfast board is a beautifully arranged platter filled with a range of popular breakfast or brunch treats. It’s a great way for you to mix and match flavours and textures. Perfect for sharing (or enjoying all to yourself!) it also makes it easy to graze and luxuriate over your meal. Big or small, simple or elaborate, they’re a great addition to your brunch table.

What you include in a breakfast platter is up to you—it can include a variety of sweet and savoury delights so let your imagination run wild. A few common sweet ingredients include toast, waffles, croissants, jam, pastries, yoghurt, berries and fresh fruits. For savoury additions try avocado, whipped ricotta, hard cheeses, bacon, eggs and mushrooms.

To put together a breakfast board, follow these steps:

1. Grab a board that’s big enough for your needs, such as a charcuterie board or a platter. Choose a few dishes for syrups and toppings as well.
2. Prep your warm ingredients, like boiled eggs, bacon, toast, waffles and mushrooms.
3. While these are cooking, add your toast, pastries, jams, yoghurt and sliced fruits to the breakfast board.
4. Add your warm ingredients to the board, using bowls or small plates for things like bacon and sausages.
