Croissant Prawn Toast Recipe

Introduction

Crispy, buttery and packed with bold savoury flavour, this Croissant Prawn Toast is a delicious twist on classic prawn toast. Flaky croissant halves are topped with juicy prawns seasoned with sesame, soy, ginger, garlic and a kick of sriracha, then pan-fried until golden and crisp. Finished with creamy Kewpie mayo, fresh spring onion and a squeeze of lime, it’s crunchy, savoury and a little spicy, making it the perfect quick lunch, snack or easy entertaining bite!

Ingredients

Method

1
Cut the croissant in half lengthways
2
Roughly chop the prawns, then mix with sesame oil, kecap manis, soy sauce, sriracha, ginger, garlic, chinese 5 spice and cornflour
3
Spread the prawn mixture evenly over the cut side of each croissant half. Combine the black and white sesame seeds and press generously over the prawns
4
Place prawn-side down in a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and the prawns are cooked through. Flip and toast the croissant side for another minute until crispy
5
Drizzle with Kewpie mayo and finish with spring onion and a squeeze of lime. Serve immediately
