Quick & Cheesy Sausage Rolls

Quick and cheesy! We have the easiest homemade sausage (bread) rolls that are guaranteed to be a family favourite!



8 slices Bakers Delight Hi-Protein Wholegrain Loaf
8 cooked chipolata sausages
8 slices of mozzarella cheese, cut to the same length as the sausages
2 eggs
400ml vegetable oil


    1. Step 1

      Cut the crusts off the bread and using a rolling pin, flatten and stretch the slices as thinly as possible

    2. Step 2

      In a small bowl whisk the eggs

    3. Step 3

      Place a sausage and a piece of cheese onto a slice of bread and wrap as tightly as possible. Use a small amount of the egg mixture to seal the seam. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread

    4. Step 4

      Heat oil in a medium frying pan to 180°C

    5. Step 5

      Dip the rolls into the egg mixture to coat evenly and carefully place into the hot oil. Fry for 2 minutes before turning and frying for a further 1-2 minutes, or until golden

    6. Step 6

      Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm
