1 tsp salt
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes

Sauce

1 tbs olive oil

Pinch of red pepper flakes
2 cans of chopped tomatoes
1 tbs butter
6 basil leaves, torn

Sliders

6 Bakers Delight Dinner Rolls

1 cup of shredded Italian cheese blend
1 cup tomato sauce
12 basil leaves, whole

Method

  1. Meatballs

    1. Step 1

Preheat oven to 220°C. Oil a baking sheet and set aside

    2. Step 2

In a large bowl, gently combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, parsley, oregano, salt and the red pepper flakes. Roll into 6 small even balls and set on the baking sheet

    3. Step 3

Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through, firm and browned

  2. Sauce

    1. Step 1

Add olive oil and thinly sliced garlic to a sauce pan. Let cook for a minute or two over medium heat

    2. Step 2

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes and the chopped tomatoes. Stir and let cook for 15 minutes

    3. Step 3

Add butter and basil and stir to combine. Set aside

  3. Sliders

    1. Step 1

Place 6 open faced rolls on a baking sheet. On the lids, add 1 tbsp of tomato sauce and evenly distribute the Italian cheese blend

    2. Step 2

On the bottom rolls, add another 1 tbsp of the tomato sauce and place the cooked meatball on top. Top the meatball with the fresh mozzarella slices and a sprinkle of salt

    3. Step 3

Place the sliders in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese starts to bubble and get crispy. Remove from the oven, put some basil on top of the meatballs and enjoy!
