ARE YOU OUR NEXT BAKER OR APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR?

Last year we were thrilled to see so many talented bakers and apprentices showcase their incredible skills and creativity. This year we want YOU to take part!

The winners in each region will earn a trip to Melbourne for an exclusive study tour. From there, two national winners will recieve a $1000 cash prize, and their franchisee will take home one tonne of flour.

Competition Details
Eligibility

The competition is open to any qualified baker or apprentice who is currently employed at a Bakers Delight Bakery

This is an individual competition

It is not open to franchisees, franchisee partners, or baker's assistants

Contestants must be 18 years or older

Prize Details

Regional Winners: Melbourne Study Tour, all flights, accommodations, meals and transfers
2/3/4 November 2026

Day 1: Arrive in Melbourne for celebratory drinks, dinner & activities with the Product team.
Day 2: The study tour begins with a visit to the Allied Pinnacle Flour Mills in Melbourne followed by an interactive baking day with the Product Team to learn the science of baking, how we develop new products and the opportunity to bake an idea of your own! The day finishes with dinner with Lesley, Roger, Elise & Dave as well as the Operations exec team where our National Winners are announced.
Day 3: Take part in a scheduling workshop at our Support Office with our Product and Training specialists before returning home.

National Winners: $1000 cash prize and your franchisee recieves 1 tonne of flour

Criteria
Refer to the scoresheet on the portal. Products need to be dropped off at a specified location to be judged on the same day. Each region's judging location can be found on the portal, the webpage, and will be announced in Crumbs.

Online Quiz

Each contestant will complete a short online quiz featuring questions about baking.
