How to make an Easter basket
The great thing about Easter baskets is that they’re versatile, coming in a range of sizes and stuffed full of personalised goodies. If you’re gifting a whole family you might consider an oversized hamper, stuffed full of treats for everyone. On the other hand, a mini basket with a few chocolate eggs may be better suited to a work colleague. Then there’s the different fillings – from baked sweet treats, to chocolate, art supplies or even a soft, cuddly toy.
Wondering how to make Easter baskets from scratch? If you like the idea of a DIY Easter basket there are plenty of options to choose from. From cardboard, to paper cups, popsicle sticks and even recycled woods, there are plenty of materials you can use for the base. Get creative with some glue or tape and try making one yourself!
If the DIY option isn’t up your alley, there’s nothing wrong with using a store-bought basket, box, bucket or bag for the goodies. You can still dress them up with ribbons, bows and themed accessories. Cotton balls for bunny tails and long felt strips for ears can instantly transform any basket.
Consider using an Easter palette for your basket-making. Our go-to is soft pastels, including pale pink, purple, blue, green and yellow.
