Celebrating 25 years of Bakers Delight & BCNA Partnership

Every year, over 20,000 Aussies will be diagnosed with breast cancer, including Nicole pictured above. This diagnosis can be devastating and a time of confusion and fear. Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) supports Aussies, working to ensure they receive the very best care, treatment and support. Bakers Delight has been proud to partner with BCNA over the past 25 years, and with the support of our franchisees and bakers, we’ve raised over $27 million to date.

For three weeks every year in May, we donate 100% of all Fun Bun sales directly to BCNA in our Pink Bun Campaign! To help show support (and treat yourself), pop down to your local bakery and grab some Fun Buns. This year we are aiming to raise $2.5 million dollars to help our friends at BCNA get around Aussie women and men affected by breast cancer.

Fund critical information & support

BCNA provides free information and support to all Australians affected by breast cancer, their loved ones and their communities. Its support services include a free Helpline, Online Network peer-to-peer community for those with a diagnosis to connect with others going through a similar experience, and comprehensive and credible information and breast cancer resources.

Improve access to treatment

BCNA is the voice for those affected by breast cancer across Australia, ensuring those with a lived experience of breast cancer are visible. Your support ensures BCNA is able to continue advocating for a better healthcare system, improving access to treatment and reducing the financial burden of a breast cancer diagnosis. BCNA work closely with the government and healthcare providers to advocate for new drugs to be listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), making the most effective breast cancer drugs more affordable.

Help drive awareness

Simply starting a conversation about breast cancer can raise awareness and save lives. You are helping BCNA raise awareness of vital issues affecting those diagnosed with breast cancer, including early detection, reducing wait times for breast reconstruction. and establishing a national register for those people in our community diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. By supporting BCNA’s work by buying Pink Buns this year, you are helping to ensure these issues remain firmly on the agenda of governments and the health sector.
