Ideas for Egg-stra Fun This Easter

Feb 8, 2021

FOR THE KIDDOS

Treat the kids to arts and crafts before they get stuck into the choccies!

Bunny Noses

No matter your level of craft-whiz, you can’t fluff this one up! For the cutest button nose and whiskers, all you need is some popsicle sticks, paper, pom-poms, paint, pipe cleaners, scissors and glue.

Easter Egg Parachute Hunt

With a colourful parachute or even a flat sheet for last-minute players, you can give the old egg hunt new life. Place plenty of Easter eggs in the middle of the parachute, have all the kiddies hold a different point around the outside and 3…2…1 SHAKE! Catch as many as you can!

TEENAGERS ROCK

Easter weekend to-do lists aren’t just for the littlies. We have hot choccies and beautiful bath bombs to cure teenage boredom too!

Mega Hot Choccies

Try our jaffa hot chocolate recipe this Easter! Either enjoy it while it’s still warm or cool it down to make loaded mega milkshakes with a huge Hot Cross Bun topper and a marshmallow for good measure. This one is bound to put smiles on faces and sweet tooths on cloud nine.

Egg Toss

The egg and spoon race’s crazier and riskier older brother! Pair up (with someone who you know is a good catch) and throw a raw egg back and forth, taking a step further back after each toss. Careful not to drop it because the last team with a whole egg wins!

DIY Easter Egg Bath Bomb

It’s hard work being a teenager sometimes! Little brothers pestering, too much homework and not to mention those books for next term’s reading list. Let the teens relax this long weekend with a homemade bath bomb. Make them with household ingredients, like baking soda, cream of tartar, epsom salts, water and food colouring, then add scented oils of your choice and some dried flowers to your shopping list.

Kids at Heart

Don’t let the kids have ALL the fun! There’s plenty for the grown ups to do this Easter too. From cocktails to brunch, we have you sorted.

Cottontail Cocktail

Pull up a seat and pour yourself a drink! It’s the long weekend and we both know you deserve it. Try our cottontail cocktail for dessert in a glass! With Traditional Hot Cross Bun crumbs, honey and marshmallows in the mix, this one is bound to tickle a sweet tooth’s fancy.

Easter Brunch

Try this quick and easy brunch to feed the family before the festivities begin! Our delicious Sourdough Vienna pairs perfectly with jammy egg yolks, smoked salmon and spinach all in one. Add a tasty tomato relish for an extra kick!

EASY BRUNCH RECIPE

The Ultimate Easter Grazing Board

If baking all day to cater for the masses isn’t your style, why not try a grazing platter for your Easter gathering instead? There’s no baking, cooking and barely any preparation involved. Just crack open some dips, cheeses, fruit and sweets and place them all on the board for that grammable content. The hardest part will be picking which treats make the cut! Why not try our cheesy Hot Cross Bun bake or Apple & Cinnamon with assorted fruits. You can even create a dessert platter with our Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns!

Host with the Most

You planned the menu, the playlist, the drinks, but you don’t have a single decoration! We’ve all been there. Our Easter table centrepiece is easier than it looks. The kids can even help! All you need is some yarn, fresh flowers, polystyrene wreath and voila, you’re the host with the most!
