Recruitment process
1. Application for a Bakers Delight franchise
After reading the information available on our website, the first step in your journey towards becoming a Bakers Delight franchisee is to submit an enquiry to our Franchise Recruitment Team.
2. Phone interview
A member of our Franchise Recruitment Team will contact you within 48 hours of your enquiry to conduct a phone interview. This interview covers your business expirence, financial situation and bakeries of interest. This is also a chance for you to share any questions that you may have at this stage.
3. Three bakery visits
Before your first meeting, you will need to visit at least three Bakers Delight bakeries. You will be given a brief form to record your observations on the shop type, service level and product quality at each bakery.
4. First meeting
At this stage we invite you to meet with the Regional Manager or Franchise Recruitment Manager in your state to have a detailed discussion about the Bakers Delight opportunity.
5. Three franchisee phone calls
Following your meeting, we ask that you phone at least three of our existing franchisees and discuss their first hand experience with Bakers Delight.
At this time we also require applicants to obtain a Police Record Check.
6. Two day bakery orientation
We will arrange for you to complete one baking shift and one sales shift in a local Bakers Delight bakery. This orientation is designed to give you a taste of life as a Bakers Delight franchisee and will help you decide whether or not the opportunity is right for you.
7. Final meeting
You will then meet with our Regional Manager or Franchise Recruitment Manager for a final meeting to discuss your two day orientation and any last questions that you may have.
This is also a chance for you to discuss any potential bakeries which you are interested in purchasing.
Providing that you have successfully completed all the stages of our recruitment process, you will be approved for training at this meeting. Our Training Team will then be in touch to arrange a suitable bakery for you to train in.
*Please remember, you must complete our training program before you can be fully approved as a Bakers Delight franchisee.
